Lyrics for We Are One – V’ahavta

9. We Are One
V’ahavta (4:48)

A proclamation of unity with God telling us to love God with all our heart, soul and might; to remember and teach these very important words to our children throughout the day; and to carry the commandments with us, always living in a thoughtful and conscious way.

V’ahavta eit adonai elohekha b’khol l’vav’kha, uv’khol nafsh’kha, uv’khol m’odekha.
V’hayu had’varim ha-eleh, asher anokhi m’tzavkha ha-yom al l’vavekha.

We are all connected, and we’re protected,
by the same One. You know we are one.
I hold my head up high walking down the street,
Smiling at every one I meet.
The Torah in my heart makes me complete.
What a godsend, Baruch Hashem.

V’ahavta eit adonai elohekha b’khol l’vav’kha, uv’khol nafsh’kha, uv’khol m’odekha.                                         V’shinantam l’vanekha, v’dibarta bam, b’shivt’kha
b’vetekha, uv’lekht’kha vaderekh, uv’shokhb’kha uv’kumekha.

May the mitzvot and the tradition stay with you 24/7, in your house, and down in your soul.
Pass it along, keep your children whole.
They will learn to live a mindful way, with good intentions every day.
Hold it with you forever and always.  Let us say amen, Baruch Hashem.

V’ahavta eit adonai elohekha b’khol l’vav’kha, uv’khol nafsh’kha, uv’khol m’odekha.                                             Uk’shartam l’ot al yadekha, v’hayu l’totafot bein einekha. Ukh’tavtam al m’zuzot beitekha uvish’arekha.

We are all connected, and we’re protected,
by the same One. You know we are one.
I hold my head up high walking down the street,
Smiling at every one I meet.
The Torah in my heart makes me complete.
What a godsend, Baruch Hashem.
