We were slaves to Pharaoh in Egypt. When the Jews escaped from slavery, they had to take a leap into the unknown. We often feel trapped and are afraid to go past our comfort zone because we don’t know what our life will become.
The Hasidic teaching is to have the faith to break through the barriers of what is holding us back.
We can make it if we really try. We got the will to stay alive, cross over the sea.
I’m wondering where it all will lead, I take a chance and then I’ll see. In Hashem I believe.
Leave what I know already, free myself from mental slavery, move out of my own way.
I take a chance and live my dream. Avadim hahyenu l’paroh b’mitzrayim.
To a place I’ve never been before, I know my life can be so much more. I’m ready to take the leap.
I can’t go on living this way or wait till I’m old and grey, give me courage I pray.

Even if I’m stuck, I will not give up.
